Around 145,000 tulips from 275 different varieties will be blooming from 18th March to 8th May in the flower beds of the park which is located next to the town’s castle close to the lake. As well as tulips in all shapes, sizes and colours, you can find daffodils, muscaris and other spring bulbs too.

We visited and were impressed by the colour and diversity of tulips on view and enjoyed walking through the park and along the lake promenade where there were yet more tulips to be found.

There are a number of events taking place over the duration of the festival, including a Sound & Light show, a walk in the tulips, and the famous bulb sale.

Where To Stay:

When we visited we stayed at the Hostellerie Le Petit Manoir which is located a short walk from the Park del l’Indépendance and a few minutes walk from the railway station. It offers comfortable rooms, very good food and has a delightful garden as well as a small spa. Due to Covid regulations you need to book the spa in advance.
