Restaurant I Due Sud

Domenico Ruberto is Head Chef at I Due Sud at Hotel Splendide Royal. The 16 Gault Millau point winning restaurant has also been awarded its first Michelin star in 2021. The “Il Pomodoro che non c’è”’ tasting menu, is available for CHF 168 per head and the “Domenico a Mano Libera”, a 10-course tasting menu for CHF 198.
Described as the “Discovery of the year in Ticino”, and honoured with its first Michelin star, Luca Bellanca and his Ristorante Meta with 15 Gault Millau points in Lugano. The Italian-born chef specialises in “Med-Fusion” dishes which are exemplified by his delicious and unconventional marinades with particular emphasis on quality, freshness and seasonality. The Ristorante Meta is located in the modern Palazzo Mantegazza of the Paradiso area of Lake Lugano with wonderful lake views. The six-course tasting menu costs CHF 130.

Restaurant Principe Leopoldo
Cristian Moreschi at Principe Leopoldo at Hotel Villa Principe Leopoldo has just been awarded a Michelin star. The restaurant with 16 Gault Millau points at the renowned 5-star Relais & Châteaux Hotel Villa Principe Leopoldo is situated in a stately home from the early 1900s which is located in an elevated position in Lugano above the lake on the Collina d’Oro.

Restaurant Galleria Arté al Lago
Chef Frank Oerthle at the Galleria Arté al Lago restaurant at Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola has had a Michelin star since 2011. Art plays a key role at the Villa Castagnola with Head Chef Frank Oerthle providing culinary art with his dishes and the hotel housing some stunning artworks in the Galerie Arté. A 6-course tasting menu is available for the price of CHF 135.

Roock’s cuisine demonstrates a strong local, regional and seasonal character and he even has his own garden at the hotel where he grows rare herbs and exotic fruits. His “Sapori del Nostro Orto” (Flavours from our vegetable garden) menu is highly acclaimed and available as a set menu of either five, six or seven courses at a price of CHF 180, CHF 195 or CHF 210 respectively.

Locanda Orico with Chef Lorenzo Albrici in Bellinzona has been awarded one michelin star and 16 Gault Millau points. The tasting menu, consists of five or six courses and costs CHF 125 or CHF 140. At lunchtime, Lorenzo Albrici’s business lunches start from as little as CHF 50.
